ACES Call for Volunteers
Conference October 10-13, 2019 Post Conference Oct 13, 2019 noon-6pm
The Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES) is the premier organization dedicated to quality education and supervision of counselors in all work settings. ACES members are counselors, supervisors, graduate students, and faculty members who strive to improve the education and supervision of counselors in training and in practice.
Opportunity:
We will be taking applications for volunteers to assist in this year’s conference. This is a great opportunity for graduate students enrolled in either Masters or Doctoral programs. See below for basic information and requirements.
Benefits:
Students who are accepted as volunteers in this year’s conference will receive a ½ off early bird registration discount. Free T-shirts. Volunteer experience in ACES for building professional vita.
Duties:
Duties of volunteers include but are not limited to assisting in registration, career link, managing the wellness area, giving hotel tours, and presenter support. Volunteer times will begin on Wednesday, October 10, at and continue through the duration of the conference, ending on Sunday, October 13, through. Your volunteer hours can be scheduled at any time throughout the conference. The exception is if you are presenting.
You will typically volunteer 3-4 time slots. The typical volunteer schedule will be:
745am - 1245pm
1230pm - 530pm
515pm - 915pm
Requirements:
Current enrollment in a Masters or Doctoral counseling program.
Deadline for volunteer applications is May 31, 2019. Decisions will be made by June 28 and accepted volunteers will have until July 31, 2019 (the early bird registration deadline) to register. If you do not register by July 31, 2019, you will forfeit your volunteer position.
